Battlefield 3 Premium E3

In EA's conference they discussed with DICE on the nature of their new premium service, Battlefield Premium. This is essentially BF's answer for CoD Elite.  Like CoD Elite it will feature content that would enrich a fan's experience in a number of ways.

Members will get access to unique camo, dogtags and knifes, mostly vanity items.  What you would really pay the price of $49.99 for is the 2 week early access of DLC packs.  Back to Karkand, Close Quarters, Armoured Kill, Aftermath and End Game will be available in this service and separately.  Below is the trailer that they showed, the same trailer that was leaked recently.

Battlefield 3 to Receive Themed DLC

Hey everybody, Atzunew here with some news on the DLC line-up for Battlefield 3. Both Dice and EA have announced their plans for thematic DLC packs. Below are the three that have been announced so far.

The first pack that was announced was "Close Quarters". As its name suggests the content will focus on making additions that make gameplay bloody as well as deadly firefights starting in the streets with foot soldiers. It is said to add even more destruction to the game. Dice says, "Everything from furniture to plaster gets shot to pieces." Players who purchase this pack will receive 10 new weapons and 4 news maps. The weapons are unlocked via assignments just like their previous pack "Back to Karkand". Also Dice, will be showing off one of the new maps at GDC, it is named "Ziba Tower" as it features players fighting in a high rise office building.

Our second pack is to be called "Armored Kill". The name seems to suggest that vehicles will offer even more fun. It is rumored to contain mobile artillery, new tanks as well as ATV's for infantry players. Dice have said that this pack will contain the largest map in battlefield history. While it seems there are now extra weapons with this pack, there will most likely be newer ways to destroy vehicles like more rockets launchers.

The last pack is still shrouded in mystery from us. This pack is to be named "End Game", this is really all we know about this pack so there is nothing but wild theories. So for all in fun and games I think the picture below will become true:
As of now we don't know about the cost of this extra content but I think it would be safe to assume a price of $14 USD each, just like "Back to Karkand". "Close Quarters" will be release in June this year. "Armoured Kill" is set to release in the autumn but "End Game" doesn't have a clear time of release so we may see it early next year. I hope you enjoyed this small tid-bit of news, remember to continue to follow this blog for future news on exciting topics, and follow us on Twitter for even more news stories you may not have heard of.

New Battlefield 3 DLC in the Works

Hey there folks, Atzunew here with some news for you Battlefield 3 fans. Recently DICE and EA have confirmed that they are working on a new DLC pack for their popular FPS. They described it as still being in the testing phase of development.

The developers have not yet released details about it and are still keeping it under wraps. What I believe players can expect is new maps, weapons and vehicles to enhance their multiplayer experience.

On Twitter a concerned fan asked about how the new DLC was coming along and what it would entail. DICE replied, "We haven't announce our DLC plans just yet but we are playtesting some impressive things in the studio." By the looks of things there may be some cool new features to accompany the expected new content.

In other related news, the Battlefield 3 patch that was slated for sometime February was obviously pushed back. While no official date has been set it seems that a March release would be favorable. The current list of patch fixes can be found here, note that this is not the final complete list of fixes and tweaks to the game.

That is all for now folks. What do you believe this new update will hold for Battlefield 3?

A Montage Like No Other! - Battlefield 3

Hey there everyone, you probably think that if you've seen one montage you have seen them all. I just found this great video and all I can say is: prepare to be proven wrong.
Pretty awesome right.  Instead of the regular low quality, dub-step filled clips this video shows some really great techniques on how to successfully make a video look great. The content of hardcore Battlefield 3 gameplay is quite fun to watch with all the overlays and effects. The only small gripe I have is sometimes there are points were there seems to be a bit to much special effects, but these sections are few and far between. I for one hope that iDuel2010 keeps up the great work!
