Tonight was the livestream of the Nvidia Gaming Festival (NGF) in Shanghai, China. This event features several announcements and demos of upcoming games in China and around the world.
After bringing up 3 popular pro gamers on the stage they were quickly moved of stage to get into the real news. According to the speaker, engineers at Nvidia have been working for over 5 years on a service called Nvidia Experience. Using an Nvidia supercomputer users will be able to connect to the cloud to receive the optimal settings for all the games you play for your specific GPU. The optimized settings will make games run faster and look better by automatically setting options that most players would be unable to do themselves. This service is set to launch on June 6th.
We also got to see demos for several upcoming games: Hawken, the free-to-play multiplayer mech game releasing December 12, 2012. The presentation continued with Crytek showing of Warface, a free-to-play FPS game using the CryEngine 3 engine, as well as showing off the already-released trailer for Crysis 3.
Nvidia continued by showing off the GeForce GTX 690 featuring 2 Kepler GPUs and over 3000 CUDA cores. It also features a 3000 RPM fan that is said to be "whisper quiet". No price has been announced for this obviously expensive card, but is set to release on May 3rd. Find out lots more info right here.
