10 Years ago today, on May 3, 2002, the Nintendo GameCube launched in the UK in both Purple and Black models. Within the first 2 days of sale it sold approximately 75,000 consoles compared to the PlayStation 2 which sold 40,000.
Unfortunately, by the end of its run the GameCube became the least selling console of its generation with only 21.74 million units sold compared to the Xbox's 24 million and the PlayStation 2's (which everyone had) 153.6 million. At least in my opinion, the GameCube was the best console of that generation!
