As previously reported, today is the date of the announcement of a new Pokemon game - or in this case two. During the weekly Pokemon Smash television show on TV Tokyo, Pokemon Black 2 and Pokemon White 2 were shown. Pokemon director Junichi Masuda also tweeted during the show:

The new games are expected to focus on Kyurem, including 2 new forms (much like what was introduced in Pokemon Platinum). These forms are also expected to be seen in the next Pokemon Movie.According to the United States Pokemon website the games will be made for the Nintendo DS line of systems, not the 3DS. Of course, they will be playable in 2D on your overpowered handheld.
Details on whether or not the story will be very similar to the original Black/White, or if these games are true sequels is unknown. There are even reports that these games are second in a trilogy of the Black & White "series". These two games are set to launch June 2012 in Japan.
